I know.
The Internet and social media were supposed to make it easier to stay in touch with people, but the reality is that it’s getting harder, and even harder to stay in the loop on shows, new releases, and backstories of the artists you like.
So here are 5 ways to stay connected. You might be connected on one or two, and think that’s good enough, but they each focus on different things, so you might want to consider adding one or two more dots that connect us.
1. Bandsintown: This platform is specifically focused on live performances. You can opt in to be notified when a new show is announced, and you can also request a show near you. (That’s handy!!!) All you have to do is click the red ‘follow’ button at https://www.bandsintown.com/a/15294891
2. Facebook: If you’re on Facebook, you can ‘like’ my official page and join my community group. That’s the best way to have a conversation online with and other friends. https://www.facebook.com/groups/MichelNerayMusic/
3. Instagram: This social media platforms seems to have become the primary place for music and musicians. It’s a bit of a pain for me to redesign the banner or the video just for Instagram, but everyone does it – including me! https://www.instagram.com/michelneray
4. Streaming platforms: Yes, I’m talking Spotify, Apple, Tidal and all the others. When you follow me on a streaming platform, save a song, add a song to a playlist, or put it on repeat… the algorithms take notice (artificially of course). I get stats that show how many people are listening and what city they’re listening from, (which isn’t as creepy as I’d like because it doesn’t tell me exactly who the people are). But yeah, it really helps. Oh, and by the way, thanks to people like you, my song, ‘I Do’ sailed past 1,000 streams this week on Spotify. Woohoo!!
